what should i bring?
just yourself and an open mind! if you have a yoga mat bring it along, but we also have mats available to borrow. we recommend a water bottle and comfortable clothes you can move freely in.
what should i wear?
anything you feel comfortable stretching and breathing in. most people wear leggings or shorts with a comfy tank, tshirt, or sports bra. no shoes needed, we practice barefoot.
i’m brand new to yoga! can i come?
absolutely! everyone is welcome at kova. our classes are beginner-friendly unless otherwise noted, and our teachers offer modifications so you can move at your own pace. we do offer a “beginner yoga” class specifically designed to teach you the basics and help you feel more comfortable finding your flow, but you can come to any class as a beginner.
i am pregnant/injured/postnatal, can i come?
yes! just let your instructor know before class so we can offer safe modifications for you. always listen to your body and get your doctor’s approval first, especially if you’re pregnant, postnatal, or recovering from an injury. we’ll help you move mindfully and adjust as needed.
is there parking?
yes, you can park in the spots in front of the studio or in the lot along the side by PM Studios. there is also street parking available along Brower Ave or Amboy Ave.
what’s the difference between each class type?
vanessa and kaylee make up a yin and yang energy here at kova, offering a wide spectrum of class types from slow flow to power sculpt. for slow flow, night flow, full moon/new moon flow with kaylee you can expect cozy vibes, deep stretches, relaxation and meditation. for power sculpt with vanessa, you can expect upbeat music and a sweaty workout that will make you feel the burn! beginner yoga brings you the basic foundations of yoga and teaches you classic poses and how to transition & find your flow. vinyasa flow is a classic style that connects your breath to your movement and includes a peak pose and closing savasana.
